lumina in tenebris was composed as a part of the Hypercube Composition Lab by Charlotte New Music (now CubeLab). The title is a Latin phrase that translates to “lights in the dark,” and serves as a nod to the many fruitful collaborative projects that the composer was involved in throughout the latter half of 2020. This work is dedicated to and written for Hypercube: Erin Rogers, Jay Sorce, Chris Graham, and Andrea Lodge.
